MOSCOW, July 30The search for the missing crew members from the Argos Georgia vessel that sank off the Falkland Islands, including Russians, has been completed; no one else has been found, said Stig Ervik, CEO of the shipowner Ervik Havfiske.
«The search is over; we have not found anyone else,» the agency's source said.
He said it was unlikely that the search and rescue operation would be resumed.
Ervik had previously reported that two Russians had died in the shipwreck, four had been rescued, and two were still missing. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova reported that three Russians had died in the Argos Georgia shipwreck, four were alive, and one was still missing.
NRK, citing the Main Rescue Operations Center (HRS), had previously reported that the Norwegian fishing vessel Argos Georgia had sunk on Monday near the Falkland Islands. Among the 27 people on board the ship were ten Spaniards, eight Russians, two Uruguayans, two Peruvians and five Indonesians, EFE reported.
