The new five-door turned out to have a completely different interior than what spy photographers saw. The crossover will go on sale before the end of this year.
The appearance of the SUV with the S05 index was revealed by the Deepal brand (aka Shenlan or Deep Blue), owned by Changan, in May. And now the branded pictures of the interior have been published. Let us remind you that Deepal was created in 2022 specifically for the production of electrified cars. Currently, the SL03 liftback, S07 (former S7) and G318 crossovers are offered to customers on the domestic market. In addition, the L07 liftback is being prepared for the start of sales. Well, let's add that the Deepal S05 will be the brand's cheapest SUV.

Inside the “five” there is a truncated steering wheel, a large touchscreen for the multimedia system and a two-story central tunnel on which there is a platform for wireless charging of a smartphone. There is no separate tidy; its role is assigned to the head-up display. Meanwhile, Chinese specialized media previously circulated spy shots of the supposed interior of the Deepal S05 — and it was different: the caught car had an instrument screen and a vertical multimedia tablet. Either the Chinese made a mistake, or the interior design will depend on the modification.
As for the exterior, it is made in the corporate style of the brand. Deepal S05 has a smooth «nose», two-tier head optics, retractable door handles and a single strip of rear lights. The crossover is already certified, so some characteristics are known. The length of the model is 4620 mm, width — 1900 mm, height — 1600 mm, wheelbase — 2880 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the current Deepal S07 are: 4750/1930/1625 mm, the distance between the axles is 2900 mm.

Deepal S05 will be available as a hybrid or a full-fledged electric car. The hybrid SUV received a 1.5 gasoline engine (98 hp), which most likely operates in the main generator mode. The electric version has a 238 hp engine on the rear axle. We'll find out all the details after the official presentation.
The Deepal S05 crossover will hit the Chinese market before the end of the year. The top-of-the-line Deepal S07 SUV now starts at 149,900 yuan, which is equivalent to about 1.8 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
The Deepal brand is also represented outside of China: in particular, its models can be purchased in Thailand. It is possible that Changan will subsequently bring the sub-brand to the Russian market.
