According to REN TV, the incident occurred on the evening of July 13. The channel's source claims that unknown persons attacked and beat the man on Chernyshevsky Avenue. It is noted that the 41-year-old victim was taken to intensive care with a traumatic brain injury, brain contusion and a skull fracture. His condition was assessed as serious, REN TV clarified.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of the incident. As noted by the TV channel, on July 29, law enforcement officers managed to detain the alleged criminal, who turned out to be a previously convicted 31-year-old resident of St. Petersburg.
