Yaroslavl, July 30 Russian Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev assessed the progress of construction of the largest cultural and sports ground of the volleyball center in Yaroslavl, the first stage of which is already ready for operation.
«The beach volleyball complex is the best complex in our country. I don't know all the complexes that exist in Europe and the world, but I doubt that they have anything like this. This is not only for training, any stages of the championship, the Russian Cup, can be held here, if necessary,» Patrushev told reporters during a visit to the center.
He also noted that the complex has a swimming pool where athletes can work out, as well as families with children for health purposes.
«And now we are in the training complex for classic volleyball. I think that until the main one is built, competitions can also be held here. Well, when the main complex is built, and this will be in about a year, a little more, maybe, then I think many will envy the fact that there is also such a training complex,» said Patrushev.
According to him, the construction of the center is being carried out on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The construction of the first stage of the center has already been completed. The future complex will be the largest in Russia, it will be able to accommodate up to six courts for year-round training and competitions in beach volleyball, as well as two courts for classic volleyball, children's and adult pools and a spa area.
