MOSCOW, July 31 Total spending on information security in the world in 2024 will exceed $200 billion, according to the Roscongress study «Digital Sovereignty: How States Protect Their Interests Online», which was reviewed by .
«Enterprise information security is a complex task that covers personal computers, servers, routers, and telecommunications equipment. Its solution is based on software and hardware, and information management policies throughout its entire life cycle. In 2024, the cybersecurity market will exceed $200 billion,» the authors predict.
In particular, according to experts' forecasts, the cybersecurity services market will reach $90 billion this year, with more than $33 billion spent on infrastructure protection, more than $24 billion on network protection equipment, and more than $18 billion on access control.
The consumer antivirus market is expected to be worth $8 billion, cloud security $7 billion, and application security over $6.6 billion. Another $6 billion will be spent on risk management in this area.
At the same time, experts predict that the global market for products and services in this area will continue to grow at a high rate in the future.
However, the authors point out that cybercriminals' methods are constantly improving, and countries need to cooperate and continuously exchange experiences to effectively counter them.
«Cyberspace would be a safer place if, in addition to regional and national information security bodies, there were global counterparts based on the UN or other representative international organizations such as BRICS or the SCO,» the document says.
