EKATERINBURG, July 30 The nature of the fire at NPO Avtomatiki in Yekaterinburg is of a domestic nature, a source in the security forces reported.
«According to initial information, the nature of the fire is of a domestic nature,» the agency's source said, answering a question about the possible causes of the incident.
The enterprise itself has not yet commented on the cause of the fire. 
«We are not commenting on the cause yet. I can say that no welding work was carried out,» the press service of JSC NPO Avtomatiki told the agency.
Earlier, the company reported that the work of the production site was suspended due to the fire. According to the authorities, the fire was assigned the third rank of complexity.
On Tuesday, the roof of an eight-story chemical production facility caught fire in Yekaterinburg, with an estimated fire area of 800 square meters. According to updated data from the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the roof of the facility collapsed over 500 square meters. 
Later, the press service of JSC NPO Avtomatiki confirmed that their building was on fire — the fire started in the mechanical workshop, the walls and roof collapsed, everyone was evacuated from the building. The fire spread to the neighboring workshop. The regional department of Rospotrebnadzor began studying the air quality in the area of the residential building closest to the fire.
NPO Avtomatiki named after Academician Semikhatov (part of the Roscosmos corporation) is one of the largest enterprises in Russia in the field of development and production of control systems and electronic equipment for rocket and space technology, automation of technological processes in industry. In particular, it produces control systems for the newest Russian launch vehicle Soyuz-2, and the Bulava and Sineva ballistic missiles.
