Family on SUP boards almost carried away into the Black Sea in Crimea
Two adults and a child on SUP boards were almost carried away into the Black Sea near Alushta. The family was discovered by rescuers while patrolling the waters near Professor's Corner, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea writes.
According to updated information, the adults and the child were drifting 900 meters from the shore. It turned out that they could not cope with the strong wind and began to be carried out to sea.
Rescuers transported the family to a safe place. The adults and the child did not require medical assistance, the Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified.
Earlier it became known that in the Moscow region, a girl jumped from a SUP board into the Oka River to cool off, but drowned.
According to the source, the 14-year-old Muscovite came with her family to a park hotel near Serpukhov. The mother and daughter decided to go SUPing, but at some point the schoolgirl decided to take a swim — she jumped into the water and did not emerge. Her body was found 16 kilometers from the scene of the tragedy — near the village of Tolsha in the Tula region.
