MOSCOW, July 30 The Ukrainian military is unable to contain the advance of Russian forces, said former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko in an interview with the YouTube channel Politeka Online.
«In fact, the task of the strategic defense operation, the first one, is to stop the advance of Russian units, which they have been carrying out since the end of last year. At the moment, we have not succeeded in this,» he complained.
The Ukrainian general believes that in the near future, Russia's successes may reach a strategic scale.
