MOSCOW, August 1 The pensions of pensioners who worked last year in Russia will be automatically recalculated from August 1 of this year, taking into account the updated length of service, according to the law.
«
"The recalculation of the insurance pension amount is carried out in the event of an increase in the individual pension coefficient according to the data of individual records in the compulsory pension insurance and compulsory social insurance systems… Such recalculation is carried out without an application from the pensioner from August 1 of each year," says the Federal Law of 28.12.2013 No. 400-FZ "On Insurance Pensions".
Senior researcher at the Institute of Social Analysis and Forecasting of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Viktor Lyashok, in turn, said that the pension increase will be no more than 400 rubles. At the same time, the longer a pensioner continues to work after receiving a pension, the lower the August increase will be. It will depend on the cost of the pension coefficient at the time of retirement and the amount of insurance premiums paid by the employer.
«If a working pensioner began receiving a pension this year and the employer paid insurance premiums in sufficient quantities, the increase will be approximately 400 rubles. In all other cases, it will be lower,» the expert explained.
According to him, this is due to the fact that for working pensioners, the cost of the pension coefficient is not indexed. Its value is fixed at the level that was in the year the pension payment began. For example, for a working pensioner who applied for a pension in 2018 and continued to work without interruption until this year, the cost of the pension coefficient is 81.49 rubles.
