The court fined a Krasnodar ethnographer who wrote a post on VKontakte about being a pacifist

The Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar fined amateur ethnographer Igor Ryabchikov 30,000 rubles under a protocol on «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The ruling was published on the court's website; the Krasnodar resident told the Kasparov.Ru website about his detention.

The police came to Ryabchikov's home on July 23. The reason for the protocol was the ethnographer's post on VKontakte, published in April 2022. In it, he wrote: «I have repeatedly told everyone I could communicate with that I was and remain a pacifist. I demanded and demand that Russia's «special operation» on Ukrainian territory be immediately stopped.»

On July 24, the same Leninsky District Court of Krasnodar fined Ryabchikov one thousand rubles for another report — for displaying Nazi symbols on VKontakte (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The Krasnodar resident told Kasparov.Ru that the reason for the administrative case was his post with a photo in which the Soviet People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs Vyacheslav Molotov shakes hands with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Third Reich Joachim Ribbentrop. Against this background, the security forces noticed a swastika.

At the court hearings, Ryabchikov admitted his guilt. According to Kasparov.Ru, his condition worsened at the police station — the security forces did not take into account that the Krasnodar resident suffers from acute ischemic heart disease and hypertension, and also has a third-group disability.
