MOSCOW, August 1 Moscow's Lefortovo Court has arrested former Gazprombank Vice President Igor Volobuyev* in absentia on charges of treason, the court said.

"The court has chosen a preventive measure Volobuyev*… for two months from the moment he crossed the state border of the Russian Federation and was handed over to the escort service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, or from the moment of his detention on the territory of the Russian Federation,» the court said.
It is specified that Volobuyev* is also charged under Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of an organization that is recognized as terrorist in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation).
He has been placed on the international wanted list.
