
MOSCOW, August 1 The official yuan to ruble exchange rate set by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for Friday fell by 8.29 kopecks to 11.7918 rubles, the dollar exchange rate fell by 32.58 kopecks to 85.7833 rubles, the euro rate — by 66.5 kopecks, to 92.8499 rubles, according to data from the Bank of Russia.
After the US sanctions on the Moscow Exchange, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation has been setting official exchange rates for the dollar and euro on working days since June 13 based on bank reports and over-the-counter trading information. At the same time, the yuan rate is still determined by the market rate of the Moscow Exchange.
On June 12, the US expanded sanctions against Russia to include the Moscow Exchange. Against this background, exchange trading in dollars and euros was suspended and transferred to the over-the-counter market.
