
CHITA, August 3 More than 50 houses were flooded as a result of floods in the city of Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky and the village of Orlovsky in the Zabaikalsky Krai, reports the governor of the region, Alexander Osipov. in his Telegram channel.
«The Balyaga and Mykyrta rivers have overflowed their banks, flooding 22 houses in Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky. 28 people have been taken to a temporary accommodation center. Local authorities will help them get to their relatives. I have instructed to attract additional forces and resources. People should not be left in trouble, we are providing all necessary assistance,» Osipov wrote.
He specified that water also entered 23 houses in the village of Orlovsky in the Aginsky Buryat Okrug. 63 people live in these houses, including 15 children.
«The school cafeteria building and the gym were also flooded. We are increasing our forces and resources in the village. Three motor pumps have been used to pump water out of houses,» Osipov added.
