RYAZAN, August 2 The industrial production index for the first half of the year in the Ryazan Region amounted to 112.2%, Governor Pavel Malkov said during a visit to the region by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
According to the press service of the regional government, Denis Manturov and Pavel Malkov visited enterprises of the Ryazan region on Friday and discussed the prospects for the development of industry and the human resources potential of the region at a working meeting. In particular, they discussed the creation and development of pharmaceutical production, a production center for unmanned aircraft systems, an advanced engineering school based at the Radio Engineering University, and the innovative scientific and technological center «Aerospace Innovation Valley».
«The region has something to show: the industry is developing confidently. It is multidisciplinary, accounting for almost 30% of the GRP. We are growing confidently, despite the sanctions and restrictions. Last year, the industrial production index was 107.5%, this year for the first half of the year — already 112.2%. We use all federal instruments and opportunities to support new investment projects and industry as a whole,» the governor's press service quotes him as saying.
It is noted that the First Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ryazan Region visited the Krasnoye Znamya plant, which is part of the Almaz-Antey Air Defense Concern. They also inspected the OpenYard enterprise, located in the Ryazansky industrial park. The OpenYard server equipment production site is located on an area of over 8,000 square meters and includes three process lines that provide full-cycle production.
«Today we were able to see the industrial potential of the Ryazan region. I am pleased with the results and the developments that you are already implementing in the region. I mean, among other things, the industrial park development program. This is the first (Ryazansky industrial park – ed.) that you have registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. I expect that the other two that you plan to form will also be in the register. This will give you the opportunity to use state support resources,» said Manturov, whose words are quoted in the message.
In addition, the press service of the Ryazan region government clarified that Manturov and Malkov took part in the military-sports festival «Ryazan — the capital of the Airborne Forces», dedicated to the 94th anniversary of the formation of the airborne troops.
