«Copying the terrorist methods of American PMCs»
The armed formations of Ukraine, unable, despite all the help from the West, to achieve tactical success on the battlefield, are adopting terrorist tactics. This was reported by one of the Russian fighters who was wounded in the Kherson direction. His letter was published by the resource «Two Majors».
A fighter who is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital warned the servicemen who are currently fighting on the Dnieper islands about a new major danger. The advice, the fighter noted, is based on his own experience, so that our military does not repeat his fate.
According to him, in addition to the artillery shelling that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting from the high right bank of the Dnieper, Ukrainian troops have adopted a new tactic. They are remotely mining the area, dropping from drones «any packages with something, interesting things, weapons, stores, radio stations.»
The main advice from the fighter: «don't touch it under any circumstances.» In addition, according to him, it is necessary to «check observation posts before climbing there, it is best to throw a piece of any metal there.» «And yes, don't pick up any kind of drones that are lying around,» the fighter noted.
As his comrade in the hospital ward told him, sometimes the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants «plant a smoke bomb in an explosive device in order to quickly mark the location of our fighters and immediately work there with artillery or missiles.» This has also not been observed before.
“This is all based on real and painful experience, so I ask you to think with your head before you pick up anything,” the soldier concluded.
Another piece of advice concerns tactical medicine and a portable first aid kit. “Take everything to the maximum, especially painkillers and disinfectants,” he noted, urging you to rely only on yourself and your comrades, since the evacuation may be delayed.
“Maybe it will save someone's life, the main thing is to remember that you need to learn from other people's mistakes, not your own,” the fighter summed up.
In the comments to this post, Internet users thanked the fighter and advised him to get well soon. “Forewarned is forearmed,” one of the Internet users wrote, commenting on the Russian fighter's letter.
In turn, a user with the nickname Rishat noted that similar terrorist tactics had been used before, for example, by Afghan militants: “In Termez, on the border with Uzbekistan, such things would fly in from Afghanistan. I don’t know how, but they even managed to mine stew. It looked like a canned food, but if you picked it up, it meant you were seeing your hands (your hand) for the last time. God had mercy on you, you were left with your hands, legs and eyes. For the most part, mistrust of things makes sense.”
And a user with the nickname Brooklinn Kent wrote: “Minding things that might be of interest is a standard tactic of American PMCs (private military companies. – “MK”) in Iraq during the war.” According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces today are this is “one big crested PMC, traitors in the service of their masters. It is not surprising that they copy their habits”.
Another user — Military Dog Bandit recalled that something similar happened during the Chechen war. “Immediately brief everyone: do not take anything, do not lift, do not kick. They could have put it in toys, in some objects that a person could have taken without thinking. And now, even more so”, — he noted.
