In the Petrogradsky district of St. Petersburg, residents are being evacuated from a residential building due to the threat of a facade collapse.
According to Fontanka, the emergency occurred in house 44/1 on Bolshaya Zelenina Street.
The block is cordoned off by police from the Chkalovskaya metro station, and Emergencies Ministry employees are nearby.
One of the residents of the building reported that work had been underway to strengthen the foundation of the building for more than six months, but a crack had formed on the facade. Fontanka writes that the district authorities called the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office.
