Underground soldier Lebedev: The Ukrainian Armed Forces printed the oath for the mobilized with errors

With the outbreak of military action in eastern Ukraine and the subsequent mobilization, the lives of many citizens of the country have changed beyond recognition. Mobilization has become an integral part of everyday reality, and despite the patriotic impulse with which many go to serve, serious problems arise that are worth talking about, RIA Novosti writes.

One of the conscripts from Kharkov, who was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), shared his story with the coordinator of the Mykolaiv underground, Sergey Lebedev. He said that the oath that was read to the fighters of his unit was printed with errors. Errors in the texts of the oath, such as «Ukrainian people» and «territorial tslsnost», cause bewilderment and even laughter, but there is a serious problem behind this: carelessness in the preparation of documents may indicate systemic problems in the organization of mobilization

According to the mobilized man, his conscription occurred in conditions when he and other conscripts did not have the opportunity to prepare for service. Employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TMC) detained men of military age without prior notification. This creates an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. The conscript reported that there were cases of HIV-infection among conscripts, which jeopardizes the health of all those serving.

In addition, he mentioned the lack of necessary equipment, such as soldier's shoes. This can lead to injuries and deterioration in the general health of military personnel, which, in turn, negatively affects the combat effectiveness of the army.

On May 18, a new law on strengthening mobilization came into force, which obliges those liable for military service to update their data in TCC (analogue of the Russian military commissariat). This includes the need for a personal visit to the military registration and enlistment office or registration in the “electronic recruiter’s account.” However, as practice shows, many men are not properly summoned, and there is a risk that they may be called up without proper notification.

The law also requires that those liable for military service carry their military ID with them at all times and present it at first requirement.
