ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 4 Firefighters have localized a fire in an old building, which housed a tenement house, in the center of Rostov-on-Don on 300 square meters, a representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Rostov Region told journalists.
The roof of a two-story unused building (Botvinnikov's apartment building) caught fire on Serafimovich Street, 54 in Rostov-on-Don on Sunday afternoon. The fire was assigned the first rank of complexity. 
«At 16:42, the fire was contained over an area of 300 square meters,» he said.
The Emergencies Ministry has brought in 16 pieces of equipment and 49 people to help extinguish the fire.
According to the head of the city administration, traffic along Serafimovich Street from house No. 62 to Budyonnovsky Avenue is blocked.
