The Ministry of Internal Affairs has published footage of the arrest of the men who beat up boxer Dvali
The footage of the arrest of the men who beat up Russian and European boxing champion Dmitry Dvali was published by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk in her Telegram channel. She reported that the suspects were detained by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and the Investigative Committee.
All of the detainees are residents of the Republic of Crimea. They are aged between 21 and 31.
According to Irina Volk, the case materials collected by the police have been transferred to the investigative bodies.
The arrest was also commented on by the Investigative Committee of Russia. The department reported that all participants in the mass beating of the boxer have been charged with attempted murder. Currently, according to the department's Telegram channel, all nine participants in the fight have been detained and are in a pre-trial detention center.
«The accused are citizens of the Russian Federation, three of whom worked as security guards at a local club, the rest were laborers. The 23-year-old athlete and his 43-year-old friend have been recognized as victims in the criminal case, and interaction has been organized with them,» the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said in a statement published on the Telegram channel.
Recall that the incident took place in the Crimean city of Feodosia. According to the coach, Dmitry Dvali and his friend were beaten after they stood up for the teenager, who was being beaten by the crowd at the time.
One of the blows landed in the eye, as a result of which the athlete received serious injury.
