DONETSK, August 5 A civilian was injured as a result of shelling of the Komsomolets residential area in Gorlovka by Ukrainian troops, the city's mayor Ivan Prikhodko said.
«As a result of shelling of the Komsomolets residential complex by Ukrainian armed forces, a peaceful resident of Gorlovka was wounded,» reads a message published on the mayor's Telegram channel. 
The DPR representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired five 155-millimeter «NATO» shells at Gorlovka from 15:30 to 16:05.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the chemical concern «Stirol» and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest settlements of the DPR. Before the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka was more than 250 thousand people.
