MOSCOW, August 6 Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to develop indicators reflecting the environmental effectiveness of the measures being implemented when forming national projects, the Kremlin website reports.
The Russian President gave a number of instructions following the meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects and the State Council commissions on socio-economic development, which took place on May 29. The corresponding list was published on the Kremlin website on Tuesday.
«The Government of the Russian Federation, together with the commissions of the State Council of the Russian Federation on the areas of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation, when forming national projects, should take into account the principles of an environmentally responsible economy and develop indicators reflecting the environmental efficiency of the measures being implemented,» the president's instruction states.
The indicators should reflect environmental efficiency, including in the following areas: minimizing the risks of environmental pollution, increasing resource and energy efficiency, prioritizing the use of secondary resources and secondary raw materials, developing technologies and solutions aimed at reducing and absorbing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting economic sectors to climate change.
