Two Ukrainian tanks were knocked out in the battle
It seems that the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has decided on one of the directions of attack. On the morning of August 6, reports began to arrive about an attack from the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in Sumy towards the Kursk region. The Ukrainian troops were met by a group of our troops covering the Kursk direction.

Earlier, military expert Roman Alekhine, citing his sources, warned that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had formed a new group in the Sumy region. He suggested that this is where the Ukrainian Armed Forces want to open another front, which Kiev had already talked about earlier.
An accumulation of equipment and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was noticed in the vicinity of Sumy. The new group received its tactical sign — a triangle. According to the expert, the purpose of the military operation may be a PR campaign with penetration into Russian territory with corresponding video filming. Zelensky needs this to strengthen his negotiating position. And for this he is ready to pay a very high price with the lives of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, Alekhine noted.
And on August 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region became more active. According to analysts from the Two Majors resource, ours were expecting such an attack from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Judging by the first reports from the ground, the first waves of the attack were repulsed. Oleg Tsarev reported that early in the morning 4 Ukrainian Armed Forces tanks approached the border near the Sudzhansky district. One tank has already been burned by an FPV drone. Later it was reported about another Ukrainian Armed Forces tank that was damaged. Artillery duels continue now. They write from the localities that there is no talk of breaking through the border.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Kursk region with drones and missiles. Our air defense shot down 26 drones. The main blow fell on Sudzha. Three children and two adults were injured. Another person was wounded in Korenevo.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to attack in several directions. In particular, Nikolaevo-Daryino — Darino, as well as the Sudzha — Gogolevka checkpoint.
The acting governor reported on the missile danger in the Kursk region and pointed out the need for the civilian population to take shelter. The situation on the ground has been stabilized, reports from the field.
