The VTB press service reported on a study conducted by bank analysts in July of this year. The survey involved Russians aged 18 to 60 from cities with a population of 100,000 people. As it turned out, more than half (53%) of the 1,500 people surveyed consider bank specialists to be a more authoritative source of information when choosing financial services. Moreover, residents of large cities (55%) trust the advice of bank specialists more than in cities with a population of up to 1 million people (50%). And in Moscow, the level of trust reaches 59%.
50% of respondents said that they primarily rely on family advice, and 48% on friends' recommendations. Moreover, family advice turned out to be more important for women (54%) than for men (45%). Respondents aged 35-44 especially trust the opinions of loved ones and friends. However, almost half (47%) of those who followed friends' advice admitted that they had experienced unfortunate consequences.
Russians are increasingly paying attention to the ability of banks to offer personalized service conditions. The overwhelming majority (66%) of respondents believe it is important for a bank to provide an individual approach to each client. For 31% of respondents, this aspect is not important, and 4% prefer standard conditions for everyone.
“The bank always strives to meet its clients halfway, offering advantageous and personalized offers that take into account the individual needs and financial goals of each,” commented Alexey Martyanov, Head of the Commercial Attraction Department, Senior Vice President of VTB.
“Such initiatives are aimed at creating long-term and trusting relationships, providing all users with access to modern financial products and services adapted to their unique circumstances,” he concluded.
