MOSCOW, August 6 Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government, together with the State Council Commission on «Efficient Transport System», to consider the issue of implementing state support for the renewal of suburban railway rolling stock, including through the leasing mechanism, the website says. «The Government of the Russian Federation, together with the State Council of the Russian Federation Commission on the «Efficient Transport System» area, shall consider the issues of:.. implementing state support measures aimed at upgrading suburban railway rolling stock, including the possibility of using preferential leasing and preferential lending mechanisms,» reads the statement following the meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects and the State Council Commissions on Socioeconomic Development Areas.
The President also instructed to work out the formation of a model for stimulating air transportation of passengers to increase the mobility of the population. In particular, it is necessary to determine the incentive mechanisms, volumes, sources of financing and indicators of the effectiveness of the use of budget funds.
The report on the instruction must be submitted before September 1 of the current year. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the head of the State Council Commission «Efficient Transport System» Alexey Tsydenov have been appointed responsible for this area.
