MOSCOW, August 7The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has demanded through the court that real estate and premium cars be transferred to the state's income, and that more than 120 million rubles be collected jointly from the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Krasnodar Krai, Sergei Simonenko, and his family members, a source in law enforcement agencies reported.
According to him, the corresponding claim has been sent to the Krasnodar Krai Court. The defendants in it are Simonenko and five members of his family.
«The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation filed a claim with the court demanding that several cars, land plots, shares in property, real estate and apartments be transferred to the state, and that 120.361 million rubles be collected jointly from Simonenko and the other defendants. In addition, the agency demanded that restrictive measures be taken — to prohibit registration actions with the Simonenko family's real estate and to seize movable property and funds in accounts,» the agency's source said.
According to him, the audit showed that Simonenko, during his federal government service, acquired 53 real estate properties and 28 premium cars worth at least 276.4 million rubles with illegal income. At the same time, part of the property has already been alienated by concluding compensated transactions, and the proceeds have been used by Simonenko for his own benefit and for the benefit of his relatives.
The source explained that during the investigation conducted at the Krasnodar headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, information was received about Simonenko, his wife and two adult children having made numerous transactions to acquire movable and immovable property in an amount exceeding their total legal income. In total, according to the declarations, over 19 years the family's income amounted to almost 97.262 million rubles, including money received from the sale of real estate: apartments, buildings and land.
At the same time, the income of his son Andrey was not taken into account — just over 452 million rubles, which he earned as an entrepreneur, renting out real estate.
At the same time, before Simonenko was appointed in 2005 to the post of head of the state fire supervision department of Krasnodar, then to the post of deputy head of the main department in 2009, neither he nor his family members had any expensive property, there was no information about any savings in bank accounts or the presence of securities.
It is alleged that he concealed his real property status by registering the property to relatives. Subsequently, it was used as income, in particular, for renting out. Therefore, all these funds cannot be considered legal sources of income, and therefore are subject to conversion into the revenue of the Russian Federation.
