MOSCOW, August 8 The Ukrainian Armed Forces sent unprotected equipment to be destroyed near Kursk, German journalist Julian Repke complained on the X social network.
“Unfortunately, once again without proper air defense (armored vehicles — Ed.) fell victim to Russian kamikaze drones, having covered only four kilometers,” the correspondent wrote, commenting on the video of the Russian Defense Ministry.
On Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry published footage of the destruction of Ukrainian military equipment in the border area of the Kursk region, including a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle and a Kazak armored vehicle.
The situation in the Kursk region escalated on the morning of August 6, when Ukrainian units numbering up to a thousand people attempted to seize a section of the Sudzhansky district.
How Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov reported at a meeting with the President that as a result of the actions of the Russian military, the enemy lost 315 people — at least one hundred killed and 215 wounded, 54 armored vehicles were destroyed, including seven tanks.
According to the representative of the Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko, several dozen Russian civilians, including children, as well as military personnel, were injured during the attempted invasion by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Criminal cases have been opened under articles on terrorist acts, murder, illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, and attempts on the lives of law enforcement officers.
