MOSCOW, August 8 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on state support for the sale of farm products, including the creation of aggregators in this area. The corresponding document is posted on the portal for the official publication of legal acts.
The law was developed to develop the infrastructure for marketing farm products. It provides for the creation of agricultural aggregators and the possibility of providing them with government support.
Agro-aggregators are understood to be organizations whose main activities relate to the circulation of farm products. At the same time, they must meet the criteria that will be determined by the Government of the Russian Federation. It is assumed that such organizations, in particular, will be engaged in the storage and delivery of farm products to stores, including chain stores.
At the same time, agro-aggregators, which are agricultural consumer cooperatives, will receive state support in accordance with Article 7 of the Law «On the Development of Agriculture», including by ensuring the availability of credit resources, providing information and consulting assistance, etc.
Agro-aggregators, at least 51% of whose shares (stocks) belong to small business entities in the agro-industrial complex, will have access to state support in the form of ensuring the availability of credit resources.
The law comes into force on September 1, 2024.
