MOSCOW, August 9 Law enforcement officers conducted searches in a hostel in the southwest of Moscow, about 400 foreigners are being checked for compliance with migration legislation, the capital's main Investigative Committee reported on its Telegram channel.
«As part of the investigation of a criminal case on the fact of organizing an extremist community (Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) <…> information was received about a violation of migration legislation in the hostel OOO Tri Zvezd, located on Novatorov Street in Moscow,» the department said.
Today, the capital's investigators, together with operational services, with the force support of the Russian National Guard, are conducting a search of this hostel.
«There are 441 people at the facility, including 391 foreign citizens. These individuals are being taken to law enforcement agencies to check their immigration laws and to determine whether they may have committed other offenses in the capital region,” the Investigative Committee clarified.
In addition, investigators seized financial and business documentation. The hostel’s management and administration were taken to the Moscow Investigative Committee department to conduct investigative actions.
