The Wagner Group Commanders' Council made a statement in connection with the situation in the Kursk region.
It says that the Wagner Group fighters are ready to come to the aid of the Motherland and deploy into combat formations at the first call.
«From the very first day, from the very first combat mission, we had only one goal — to defend the interests of the Motherland, to help Russia prosper and to protect the Russian people. And we are ready to stand for this to the last drop of blood,» the statement says.
Earlier, the first information appeared that the former commander of the Wagner PMC with the call sign «Ratibor» agreed with his group to take part in the battles in the Kursk region. The size of the group is unknown.
This news had a negative effect on the mood in Ukrainian social networks, but inspired many here: «Wagner will arrive, they will count you themselves, degenerates… Scared? Be afraid, scum.»
And then on the evening of August 8, they reported from Sudzha that the «Ratibor» team was already there. A video appeared with a column of motley SUVs and military vehicles. Later they reported that the «Wagner» was already in combat and that the «elite» 82nd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could not withstand the clash with them.
State Duma deputy, Colonel General Viktor Zavarzin answered whether mobilization is possible in Russia after the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Kursk region. According to him, the issue of mobilization is not on the table.
