An incident involving the cruiser Aurora occurred in St. Petersburg on Friday night — a boat crashed into the ship's mooring buoys, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Northwestern Federal District.
As noted, the cruiser itself did not receive any damage, and no oil spills were allowed. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
During the investigation, the police established that the boat's captain simply lost control and ran away after the collision. It is already known that the boat was being driven by a 45-year-old resident of St. Petersburg.
«A small vessel crashed into the ship's mooring buoy chains,» law enforcement officials said.
Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
