MOSCOW, August 9 Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will visit Moscow in the near future, and a discussion will be held on developing coordinated approaches to resolving the situation in the Middle East, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.
«Soon, in the near future,» he said.
According to Bogdanov, a very important discussion will be held during the visit on normalizing the situation in the Middle East.
«The upcoming visit of the President of the State of Palestine… This will be a very important conversation and a joint analysis of what is happening and the development of some common coordinated approaches regarding how to proceed further in order to «Peace and security have been restored in the East on a fair basis in accordance with the decision of the international community,» he stressed.
Earlier, a diplomatic source reported that Abbas' visit to Russia is scheduled for August 12-14, and on August 13 he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
