MOSCOW, August 11 A weak magnetic storm of class G1 has begun on Earth, said leading specialist of the Phobos center Mikhail Leus in the Telegram channel.
«The magnetic storm, which had been predicted for three days, has finally begun. <…> It turned out only after 17 hours 9 minutes Moscow time, it was from this moment that a weak magnetic storm of class G1 was recorded on Earth «, noted the weather forecaster.
He added that on Sunday morning, disturbances in the geomagnetic field were already trying to approach the level of five units of the Kp index, which corresponds to a weak magnetic storm, but this happened in the afternoon.
In addition, Leus warned that it is impossible to predict the weakening, intensification or end of this phenomenon.
