MOSCOW, August 11 Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov clarified on his Telegram channel that five civilians were injured in the shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Shebekino, there is no power in part of the city, and houses that were burning due to the shelling are extinguished.
«»Updated information on the shelling of the city of Shebekino. The number of victims has increased to five people. Two men with various shrapnel wounds are being taken by ambulance crews to City Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod,» he wrote.
In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees extinguished fires in one apartment building, two private houses and a commercial facility.
Gladkov also spoke about the damage due to the Ukrainian attack.
«As a result of the shelling, facades and glazing were damaged in four apartment buildings (multi-apartment buildings — ed.) and in one social facility. «Windows were broken and the roof was pierced in two private houses, and three cars were damaged by shrapnel,» the governor said.
It is noted that the power outage remains in part of the city. Gladkov emphasized that emergency services will begin restoration work after coordination with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
