MOSCOW, August 10 Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the heads of a number of federal projects within the framework of the national projects «Transport part of the comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of trunk infrastructure for the period up to 2024», «Safe, high-quality roads» and «International cooperation and export», follows from the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In particular, First Deputy Minister of Transport Valentin Ivanov was appointed head of the federal projects «Development of Seaports» and «Development of Regional Airports», Deputy Minister of Transport Viktor Timofeev — «Construction of Highways of the International Transport Corridor Europe — Western China», Deputy Minister of Transport Alexey Shilo — «Development of High-Speed Railways», «Development of Railway Infrastructure of the Eastern Polygon of Railways», «Development of Railway Approaches to Seaports of the Azov-Black Sea Basin», «Development of Railway Approaches to Seaports of the North-West Basin», «Development of Railway Infrastructure of the Central Transport Hub». 
«All these federal projects are part of the national project «Transport Part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure for the Period up to 2024,» the statement said.
In addition, Deputy Minister of Transport Timofeev will manage the federal projects «Regional and Local Road Network», «General System Measures for the Development of the Road Economy» and «Development of the Federal Main Road Network», which are part of the national project «Safe High-Quality Roads».
State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Roman Chekushov has also been appointed head of the federal project «Industrial Export», which is part of the national project «International Cooperation and Export».
