
EKATERINBURG, August 11 The bodies of two children who went missing with a group of Khanty people while moving towards one of the camps have been found in Yugra, the regional department of the Russian Investigative Committee reported.
«An overturned motorboat and the bodies of two children, born in 2023 and 2022, were found in the river. No signs of foul play were found during a visual inspection,» the statement said.
Search efforts continue. Investigators, rescuers, employees of «Centrospas-Yugoria», volunteers and local residents are working in the area where the group disappeared, the department added.
According to the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on Thursday seven representatives of the Khanty people, including three children, left on a motorboat «Kazanka» along the Maly Yugan River towards the Kaimysovy camps, but they never reached the place. The body of a drowned woman was later found.
