Research: Prices are not sky-high, but they are biting
Russian tourists have always preferred Moscow — at least because every citizen of the country should visit the capital at least once. In Soviet times, trips were expensive — and people most often stayed either in the suburbs or near Moscow's attractions. Nothing much has changed these days.
Experts from Regions Developmen have found out how much rent costs in the most touristy areas of the Russian capital.
Coming to Moscow for a short visit is actually not that expensive, even in the summer. The highest daily rent is in the areas near Moscow-City and the Bolshoi Theater (9.6 thousand and 7.1 thousand rubles per night, respectively), the most affordable short-term overnight stays are near the Kremlin in Izmailovo and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve (from 3.9 thousand to 4.3 thousand rubles, respectively).
The average daily rental rate at the indoor amusement park on the Nagatinsky Peninsula is 5.6 thousand rubles. Investors who plan to invest in rental housing will have to pay an average of 487 thousand per square meter for premises in local new buildings.
«Moscow-City». The average daily rent here is 9.6 thousand rubles, the average cost per square meter in new buildings is 636 thousand.
The Kremlin in Izmailovo. The daily rent on the local market will cost 4 thousand rubles, the average cost per square meter in new buildings is 347 thousand.
Ostankino TV Tower. For one night in the area of the TV tower in rented apartments you will have to pay on average 4.4 thousand rubles. The average cost per square meter in local new buildings is 449 thousand.
VDNKh. The daily rental rate on the local market is 4.3 thousand rubles. A square meter in local new buildings will cost on average 556 thousand rubles.
House of Music. Daily rent will cost 5.4 thousand rubles, the average cost per square meter in new buildings is 813 thousand rubles.
Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve. The daily rental rate on the local market is 4.3 thousand, the cost per square meter is 376 thousand rubles.
The main building of Moscow State University and the observation deck. Rental rate — 5.7 thousand, the cost per square meter in new buildings is 962 thousand rubles.
Moscow Kremlin. The average daily rental rate on the local market is 5.3 thousand, the cost per square meter in new buildings is 1.9 million rubles. By the way, due to the high cost of real estate in this area, the return on investment is only 2% per annum.
Bolshoi Theater. Daily rent — 7.1 thousand rubles, the average cost per square meter in new buildings is 2.3 million.
