MOSCOW, August 11 The Australian women's basketball team won bronze medals at the Olympic tournament in Paris, defeating the Belgian team in the medal match.
The match, which took place on Sunday in Paris, ended with a score of 85:81 (20:19, 17:17, 23:25, 25:20) in favor of the Australians. The winners' best player on the court was Ezi Magbigoor, who scored a double-double (30 points + 13 rebounds). The Belgians' Julie Vanlo scored 26 points.
The Olympic final will be between France and the United States later Sunday.
