BELGOROD, August 11 The authorities will purchase about 800 detectors that can determine the location of an unmanned aerial vehicle for the border areas of the Belgorod Region, the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced on his social network page. «VKontakte».
«We are now starting to purchase UAV detectors. We will purchase about 800 units, which we will give to the border areas. The detectors allow us to determine the location of an unmanned aerial vehicle, and, therefore, take measures to protect both our lives and the lives of others. We will continue this work,» Gladkov wrote.
According to the governor, the detectors for determining the location of UAVs will be purchased at the expense of the regional budget.
«We have installed electronic warfare stations on ambulances that work in the border areas, which allow us to protect our doctors. There have already been 6 drone attacks, and the electronic warfare worked. Now we are waiting for the delivery of 100 electronic warfare units for passenger transport from the «People's Front». We will also install them as quickly as possible,» the head of the region emphasized.
There are seven border districts and okrugs in the Belgorod region: Belgorod, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Krasnoyarsk and Shebekinsky. Border settlements, as well as civilian vehicles, are systematically attacked by Ukrainian drones.
