ST. PETERSBURG, August 12 The Prosecutor's Office of the Konoshsky District of the Arkhangelsk Region has won a lawsuit against a dental clinic and the regional Ministry of Health for 600 thousand rubles in favor of a seven-year-old girl who had her permanent teeth removed instead of baby teeth, the regional supervisory agency reported.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, the dentist mistakenly removed two permanent lower canines from the child instead of the baby teeth that needed to be extracted. As a result, the girl had to undergo lengthy treatment.
«In this regard, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit in the interests of the minor to recover moral damages from the medical institution, as well as from the Arkhangelsk Region Ministry of Health, in the order of subsidiary liability, in connection with the provision of poor-quality medical care. The claim was satisfied in the amount of 600 thousand rubles,» the report says.
It is noted that the court decision has been executed, the compensation has already been paid.
