“Despite all the efforts of doctors, the young cyclist… who received severe injuries as a result of an accident yesterday, died,” Martynov wrote.
He noted that the girl was the winner of republican and all-Russian competitions, the leader of the republican team, expressing condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic reported on the Telegram channel that on Monday there was an accident on the Donetsk ring road in which a group of minor cyclist athletes were injured. According to the department, 7 teenagers were injured in the accident, 2 of whom were taken to a medical facility. It is noted that pupils of the sports school conducted training on a country ring road. Behind the column of teenagers was a minibus. Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances and degree of guilt of the participants in the accident.
