This coupe-like crossover of the Chinese brand received an eight-speed gearbox from Aisin, which is offered in pair with a 2.0-liter TGDI engine.
The Exeed brand is part of the extensive portfolio of the Chinese company Chery. The RX crossover entered the Russian market last summer. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the model has been sold in China since February 2023 under the name Yaoguang (the production version is based on the AtlantiX concept), and the manufacturer decided to use a two-letter index as an export name.

The Exeed RX is based on the T2X platform, which is based on the M3X architecture. It makes this SUV related to the large Chery Tiggo 9 crossover. Let us recall that initially the RX entered the Russian market with only one “filling” option: we are talking about a 2.0-liter turbo four, the output of which in the Russian specification is 249 hp; this engine was paired with a seven-speed robot with two clutches (7DCT).
The fact that a version of the crossover with a new gearbox – a classic eight-speed automatic from Aisin – appeared in the Russian Federation became known at the beginning of this summer. It is worth noting that both options have been available on the domestic market for a long time. The automatic transmission comes with the same 2.0-liter turbo engine as the 7DCT. The model still only has a full drive.
The crossover with 8АКП also has an adaptive suspension. The Exeed RX with automatic transmission accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds (for comparison, the version with 7DCT does this exercise in 7.6 seconds). The maximum speed does not differ depending on the modification and is 200 km/h.
Initially, the RX with an automatic transmission was offered on the Russian market in a single Premium trim level. However, today the local office of the brand announced the appearance of a new version – Exeed RX 8AT Flagship. In addition to the gearbox itself, this version received the Exeed Connect option: the company explained that it allows you to use navigation and online services inside the car. In addition, the new version received a remote control function via a mobile application (this is now also available for the Premium version).

The new version of the cross-coupe also received changes in the interior: we are talking about an additional color scheme combining white and coffee shades, as well as a ceiling trimmed with light suede. The driver's seat received a massage function, the steering column now has electric height and reach adjustment, in addition, the list of updates includes foot lighting. The company also said that the projection screen has changed: the image has become larger, and it is visually located further away.
For the Exeed RX 8AT Flagship version, two additional body color options are available — white and gray — they are supposed to have a black roof and the same color of the exterior mirror housings. A set of new design wheels has also been prepared for this version. In addition, the new version is equipped with an automatic parking system with a reverse assistant.
The price of the new version has not yet been announced at the local Exeed representative office, but you can already pre-order the Exeed RX 8AT Flagship. The recommended retail price of the crossover with 7DCT today is 4.6 million rubles, and for the RX 8AT Premium version they are asking at least 5.3 million rubles.
