KALININGRAD, August 13 A stream of meteors and a bright aurora were observed in the sky over the Kaliningrad Region on Tuesday night, reports Telegram channel «Weather and meteorological phenomena in the Kaliningrad region».
«An incredible night… Bright polar lights right now in the sky over the region, visually distinct pillars on the northern horizon! Amazing luck combined with the peak of the meteor shower,» the message says. 
Earlier, the northern lights were observed in the region on Monday night.
Experts reported that a geomagnetic storm was in effect on Earth, and the northern lights could be observed as far as mid-latitudes.
On Tuesday night, a stream of meteors was added to the aurora, a rare occurrence.
