«Taking into account the first half of the current year, since the SVO, we have already had approximately 700 thousand additional people come to defense plants. And with this increase, there really are 3.8 million employees. Never in modern Russian history have we had such a personnel fist,» he said, speaking at the plenary session of the Army-2024 forum.
«And there are still no civilian industries here that also actively help in terms of raw materials, materials and components. According to the most conservative estimates, we have about 900 civilian enterprises involved in the production of military and dual-use products. But in fact, there are many more suppliers for cooperation, they simply cannot be counted,» he added. Minister.
Alikhanov also emphasized that this synergy of the two branches of the manufacturing industry is one of the factors in the effective implementation of the president's tasks to increase the production of weapons, military and special equipment.
