The first ever Russian Drift Cup, the RDS Superfinal, will be held on October 4-6 at the Rostov Arena sports complex in Rostov-on-Don. It will be the highest and most prestigious official competition in this motorsport discipline in the country, and the winner of the Cup will be the best drift athlete in Russia in the 2024 season.
The tournament will feature top pilots from the Russian Drift Series Grand Prix (RDS GP) and the RDS Europe interregional championship. The competition will be held according to the TOP-32 table – that is how many pilots will compete in paired races for the Russian Cup. However, getting to the duel stage will not be easy: in order for the intensity of the qualifying races to match the high level of the tournament and please the spectators, the organizers will accept applications from 40 athletes — 20 participants from each series, who took the top lines in the final protocols at the end of the season.

The regulations for the «RDS Superfinal» will allow sports cars that meet the technical requirements of RDS GP and RDS Europe PRO, on the 235th tire (235/35-R18) with a minimum weight limit of 1250 kg. The pilots will have an interesting configuration with acceleration through a turn, technical changes in millimeters from concrete barriers and three zones of inertial drift at once, which will make it difficult even for skilled athletes. Spectators can be sure that they will see an unforgettable spectacle in terms of passion and emotion.
Despite the fact that RDS Europe is considered a «junior» series, the pilots of this tournament demonstrate the highest level of skill on par with the stars of RDS GP. We have once again seen this both during the season and from the wild card performances of RDS Europe representatives at the stages of the Grand Prix series, where they imposed a worthy fight on the most experienced opponents. Now the participants of RDS GP and RDS Europe will be able to finally find out who is made of what and compete for the most prestigious award in the country — the first ever Russian Drift Cup. «Rostov Arena» is the largest sports facility in the Rostov Region, which has become a cult place in the region. The large area in front of the stadium allows for holding major motorsport events of any level, as was proven by the successful first stage of RDS Europe in April.

The preliminary program of the weekend involves qualifying races on Friday, October 4, paired TOP-32 races on Saturday, October 5, and duels from TOP-16 to Sunday, October 6 final, which will determine the name of the first winner of the Russian Drift Cup. A live broadcast of the RDS Superfinal will be available on the RDS TV platform.
