Dealers in the domestic market will begin accepting orders for the updated truck at the end of this week.
In China, Nissan and Dongfeng have a joint venture: today, the joint venture produces several models, including a frame pickup truck, which is also presented on the Russian market. Here it is sold under the name Dongfeng DF6, in the Middle Kingdom — Rich 6 (the model is a twin of the current Nissan Navara). Now the version for the Chinese market has undergone an update. Apparently, it will be given the addition of Pro to the name and will be sold simultaneously with the current version.

During the update, the pickup received a revised front end: thus, the models retained the same shape of the headlights, but changed the light pattern; the radiator grille is still made in the form of a hexagon, but it has become larger, received a pattern in the form of an unusual grid with large cells and a wide chrome edging with slits on the sides. In the center of the «grill» is a large logo of the Chinese brand.
The sidewalls have not changed, the black roof rails, traditional exterior mirrors and regular door handles remain in place. The rear of the Rich 6 Pro has also remained almost unchanged, except that the lower part of the rear bumper, which acts as a running board, is now painted in the body color (in the pre-reform version, this element is completely made of unpainted plastic). The lights have retained their previous shape and the same light pattern.
Dongfeng DF6/Rich 6 is expected to become larger during the update, but its dimensions have not yet been disclosed. The current truck has an overall length of 5310 mm, width — 1850 mm, height — 1810 mm, wheelbase — 3150 mm; and the dimensions of the cargo compartment are 1520 x 1520 x 475 mm. The ground clearance of the current version is 220 mm, and the permissible gross weight is 2499 kg. The company has not yet shown the interior of the updated version.
According to the Chinese publication Autohome, the Rich 6 Pro received more powerful equipment, but there are no details about it yet. Note that the current version has a 2.4-liter gasoline engine as the base, the maximum output of which is 158 hp. It is only offered with a five-speed manual. The truck presented in the Russian Federation does not have this “filling” option.
For the richer Rich 6 versions, a 163-horsepower 2.3-liter turbodiesel is now offered, it can be equipped with either a 6-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The current Dongfeng DF6 presented in the Russian Federation also has such an engine.
It is known that in the domestic market, dealers will begin accepting orders for the updated truck at the end of this week, on August 18. The prices for the Rich 6 Pro will be announced later. The cost of the current Rich 6 pickup in China varies in the range from 91,800 (equivalent to approximately 1.2 million rubles at the current exchange rate) to 156,800 yuan (about 2 million rubles).
