MOSCOW, August 12 Russia has outpaced most of the world's rich countries in GDP growth, American journalist Jackson Hinkle said on the X social network.
«Russia is winning! Despite tough sanctions, Russia's economy is growing steadily. GDP has grown by three percent, more than in almost all rich countries,» he wrote.
According to Rosstat, the Russian economy grew by 3.6 percent in 2023. According to the Central Bank's forecast, the country's GDP could increase by 3.5-4 percent this year. At the end of July, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said that the Central Bank's forecast for GDP growth in 2024 at 3.5-4 percent corresponds to the current estimates of the Ministry of Economic Development. The ministry's current forecast currently assumes Russian economic growth of 2.8 percent this year. It will be updated in August.
