
MOSCOW, August 14 The Moscow City Duma has submitted to the State Duma a bill on fines of up to 300 thousand rubles for legal entities for disseminating information about the remote sale of tobacco and nicotine-containing products on the Internet; the document is available in the Duma's electronic database.
«The bill proposes to establish liability for disseminating information about the remote sale of tobacco and nicotine-containing products on the Internet, providing for the possibility of imposing administrative fines on citizens in the amount of 3,000 to 5,000 rubles, on officials — from 20,000 to 40,000 rubles, on legal entities — from 100,000 to 300,000 rubles,» the explanatory note to the bill says.
According to the documents, the authority to draw up protocols on administrative offenses, along with officials of Roskomnadzor, is proposed to vest officials of Rospotrebnadzor, as well as officials of Rosalkogoltobakkontrol.
«The adoption of the said federal law will reduce online sales of tobacco and nicotine-containing products, which will be a preventive and prophylactic measure in the area of ensuring existing legislative requirements, restrictions and prohibitions in the area of selling nicotine-containing products to minors,» the note states.
