RYAZAN, August 13 Belgorod resident Andrei Goncharov, who went to pick up his mother and brother from the village of Olgovka, Korenevsky District, Kursk Region, has gone missing, the missing man's son, Roman, said.
«On August 7, Dad asked for time off from work to pick up Mom and his disabled brother in the village of Olgovka, Korenevsky District (Kursk Region – ed.). He left, was in touch with us… He called at 4:00 p.m.… He was in Lgov… He said that his phone was running low on battery. He was in touch for the last time between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the phone was on,» Roman said.
According to him, the man should have reached Olgovka by 6 p.m. Andrey's relatives do not know which road he took.
«He was seen by the military at the checkpoint in Lgov. He talked to them. They didn't let him go along one of the roads, I can't say for sure which one. And where he went next is unknown. That's it, from that moment until now nothing is known about him,» the interlocutors noted.
According to them, the relatives contacted the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the police.
The grandmother and brother, whom Andrei went to pick up, were taken to Belgorod by fellow villagers. The man never reached them in Olgovka.
Andrey Goncharov is 41 years old, he was born in the Kursk region, now lives in Belgorod, his relatives clarified.
At 5.30 am on August 6, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces went on the offensive with the aim of seizing territory in the Kursk region, their advance was stopped, said Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov. He emphasized that the operation in the Kursk region will be completed with the defeat of the enemy and access to the state border.
As the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on August 13, Ukrainian troops lost more than 2,030 military personnel, 35 tanks and 31 armored personnel carriers during the entire period of hostilities in the Kursk direction.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the Kiev regime has undertaken a provocation and is firing indiscriminately, including at civilian targets. Putin said that the enemy will receive a worthy response, all goals facing Russia will be achieved.
In the Kursk, as well as the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, a CTO regime is in effect to ensure the safety of citizens.
