MOSCOW, August 14 Russia's approach of preferring mass production of simple military equipment allows it to ensure a constant flow of vehicles to the front, writes The National Interest.
«By using cheap and easily replaceable systems like the T-72, The Russian industrial base uses a template-based approach to their production, which allows them to be produced quickly and easily, and to always have a readily available stock no matter how long the fighting lasts,” the publication notes.
The National Interest writes that the T-72, despite its age, is extremely effective in combat, and its simple design requires little maintenance, which is critical to supporting the army’s offensive, TNI concludes.
Previously, The National Interest called the T-72 “arguably the best tank in the world.”
