MOSCOW, August 14 Western media have revealed the full names of two alleged accomplices of Ukrainian diving instructor Vladimir Zh., for whom the German prosecutor's office had previously issued an arrest warrant in the case of the explosion of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines; we are talking about Svetlana and Evgeny Uspensky.
Earlier, a number of German media outlets, including the ARD TV channel, revealed the names of two alleged accomplices of Ukrainian diving instructor Vladimir Zh., for whom the German prosecutor's office had previously issued an arrest warrant in the case of the explosion of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. According to the media, Vladimir Zh. was assisted by a married couple: Evgeniy U. and Svetlana U., while it is noted that they are all diving experts, and their company still offers foreign diving tours. At the same time, according to the media, the couple actively supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine on social networks. In response to a request from German media, Svetlana U. replied that she knows nothing about the explosion of Nord Stream and is not familiar with Vladimir Zh.
According to Western media, Svetlana and Evgeniy's last name is Uspensky. Svetlana is in Poland, and her husband Evgeniy serves in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, a number of German publications, citing sources in the investigation, reported that the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipeline was planned back in 2014. The explosion on the gas pipeline was allegedly prepared by a certain Ukrainian group even before the reunification of Crimea with Russia. A source familiar with the investigation also claimed that new evidence had emerged confirming the involvement of the sailing vessel Andromeda and its crew in the explosion on Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2. The yacht was presumably used in the preparation of the terrorist attack on Nord Stream.
The Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper previously expressed a version about the involvement of at least two Ukrainians in the explosions on Nord Stream. According to the media, the yacht Andromeda was rented by the Warsaw company Feeria Lwowa, which was founded in 2016 and registered to two Ukrainians.
Explosions on two Russian export gas pipelines to Europe — Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 — occurred on September 26, 2022. Germany, Denmark and Sweden have not ruled out deliberate sabotage. Nord Stream AG, the operator of Nord Stream, reported that the destruction of the gas pipelines was unprecedented, and it was impossible to estimate the repair time. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office initiated a case on an act of international terrorism. Russia has repeatedly requested data on the explosions on Nord Stream, but has never received it, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.
